Get to Know Us
In April of 2009 Pastor Berry and his wife were directed by God to start a ministry in Brick NJ. With that call they first went to Trenton and filed paper work for a non-profit organization. They founded and established Lion of Judah Praise and Worship Center. They together with their children along with 5 others in attendance started service at the Mapleleaf Clubhouse in Brick NJ. Later, by the leading of the Holy Spirit the name was changed two years later to "Overcomers Church" of Brick NJ. An non-denominational church with all types of ethnic backgrounds. Years later they relaunched the ministry in Toms River starting out with online zoom bible study through the book of Acts in

Identity
We are a church community modeled after the Acts church. Building a strong spiritual community is at the heart of Overcomers. We come together to worship, pray, and grow in our faith. Our desire is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals from all walks of life can find belonging and stay connection. What We Believe
We believe the Bible to be the inspired written Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons or manifestations; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit. By the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world;
We believe that marriage is between a natural born woman and a natural born man.

The Apostles' Creed:
